Welcome to the official site of the
Austrian Hemp Association.
Who we are. What we do.
It all started in 2008 when five activists called for the hemp hiking day and began to shape Austria's hemp policy sustainably.
A lot has happened since then.
The hemp hiking day grew into the largest European demonstration as part of the Global Cannabis March and the hemp association founded in 2012 developed into a leading contact for consumers, the media, politics and not least for the booming hemp industry in Austria.
The association, whose activity is not geared towards profit, aims to research and develop concepts for solving existing environmental problems through the use of regional and sustainable value chains and products made from and with hemp.
Other organizations, but also individuals, should be made aware of the potential of the sustainable crop hemp and encouraged to act sustainably.
As an active member of numerous partner associations such as GlobeCann, EIHA, the International
Association on Cannabinoid Medicines and the Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs, we provide educational work and ensure the necessary cooperation within the Austrian hemp industry as well as at European and international level.
